Charles Valentine Winchester born probably in Ireland in 1803 and died on Le Fevre Peninsula, SA in 1861. He married Ann Vonthethoff at some point prior to 1838. They arrived in SA on Trafalgar in 1849 and lived on Le Fevre Peninsula - North Haven, Taperoo, Pt Adelaide area.
They had 6 children:-
Ann Winchester 1838-1913 married Henry William Petrie Vonthethoff
Harriett Winchester 1843-1932 married Donato Liccioni/Liccione
William Winchester 1849-1922 married Sarah Harriet Watson
George Winchester 1850-1862
John Winchester 1851-? married 1) Isabella Adelia Leicester 2) Rosa Weaver
Richard Winchester 1855-1926 married 1) Jessie Hirst 2) Eliza Maria Brady

- Mum of two and grandmother of eight, I have been researching my own family history for over 40 years. Other family members have asked me for help with their research and naturally I have oblidged. It is the thrill of the chase that keeps me going in my genie research. Nothing is more satisfying than finding a missing link. Except perhaps completing something that I have been creating. I'm also into things creative - I knit, I crochet and I sew.. and now I'm learning to spin as well. With all these grandkids, I spend time amusing them or sewing for them and making them toys and teddy bears as well. Their smiles and squeals of delight make it all worth while. In recent times I have begun to sell some of my yarn crafted items so do drop by my store and visit.
