Phoebe Brianna Rees-Stokes made her entrance into the world at 11:05am yesterday morning (5 Jan 2008), weighing 2530 grams (5lb 9ozs).
Mum and baby are doing fine, dad survived the birth (so did the god mother).

- Mum of two and grandmother of eight, I have been researching my own family history for over 40 years. Other family members have asked me for help with their research and naturally I have oblidged. It is the thrill of the chase that keeps me going in my genie research. Nothing is more satisfying than finding a missing link. Except perhaps completing something that I have been creating. I'm also into things creative - I knit, I crochet and I sew.. and now I'm learning to spin as well. With all these grandkids, I spend time amusing them or sewing for them and making them toys and teddy bears as well. Their smiles and squeals of delight make it all worth while. In recent times I have begun to sell some of my yarn crafted items so do drop by my store and visit.

From posts that I have found that you have made around and about it is possible that we are related by marriage through the Stokes line. My Stokes family originated in Uttoxeter, and the earliest Stokes in my family tree is Samuel Stokes of Uttoxeter who married in 1757.
